Shibori Denim

Think of Indigo Denim as an expression medium like a canvas, using the tradition of Arimatsu Shibori and the modern Shibori technique of Shoji Fujii as if to draw an ukiyo-e on canvas.

In this way, we express the beauty brought about by deliberately combining the three distinctive elements. Such a concept is called AERU in Japanese. We hope that traditional crafts will be sustainable by aiming for Neo Japonism in the next 400 years of Arimatsu. – Arimatsu Shibori-Some
