Denim Workshop Enrollment

Learn How to Make Jeans From Design to Production

This is not a hobby class.

Denim Workshop is a hands-on, in-studio program taught by Maurice Malone inside the Williamsburg Garment Company manufacturing studio in Brooklyn, New York.

Over nine weeks, you’ll learn the complete process of developing and constructing a pair of jeans using professional factory equipment and industry-standard digital pattern-making software. You’ll work from a Maurice Malone base pattern, learn how jeans are constructed in production, build your own fit sample, make corrections, and construct a finished pair of jeans.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with more than just a pair of jeans. You’ll gain a practical understanding of patternmaking, construction, fit development, manufacturing workflow, and the machinery used to produce denim garments professionally.

If your goal is to start a brand, improve your technical skills, work in product development, or simply understand how jeans are actually made, Denim Workshop provides a foundation that few programs offer.

Why We Don’t Recommend Joining Mid-Session

Denim Workshop is a comprehensive 9-week program. Each class builds upon the previous week’s lessons, making it difficult to jump into the middle of the course without missing important foundational information.

If you miss the current session, don’t worry. Enrollment is now open for the Fall 2026 Denim Workshop.

Can’t wait until the workshop begins? Join Denim Talk, Maurice Malone’s live online meetup, where participants from anywhere in the world can ask questions about denim design, construction, manufacturing, sourcing, and building a brand. Denim Talk is a great way to begin learning and become familiar with many of the concepts discussed in Denim Workshop before classes begin.
