Denim Talk: Ask Questions. Get Real Answers About Making Jeans
If you’re serious about learning denim—or even just trying to understand it better—there’s only so much you can get from YouTube and social media. At a certain point, you have questions. And you need real answers. That’s why I created Denim Talk.
In collaboration with MakingABrand.co and Williamsburg Garment Company, Denim Talk is a weekly, 1-hour online meetup where we talk about denim—how to make jeans, construction, fit, starting a brand, and anything else you want to ask.
This isn’t a lecture. It’s a conversation.
You bring the questions. I’ll bring over 40 years of real-world experience.
Why Denim Talk Exists
When we announced the Denim Workshop, we got a strong response. But it became clear pretty quickly—there were different levels of interest.
Some people were ready to commit to a full, in-person program. Others were curious, or just wanted to learn more without that level of time or cost.
Denim Talk opens the door.
If you’re not in New York. If can’t commit to a 9-week course. Or, if just want access to real knowledge—this is for you.
What You’ll Learn
We’ll cover topics like:
-
How to make jeans from start to finish
-
Denim construction and stitch types
-
Fit and pattern development
-
Manufacturing and production
-
Starting and building a brand
And just as important—what not to do.
Free
This is a "live," free online meetup, where the audience joins in the conversations.

Who This Is For
If you’ve been trying to learn denim on your own and hitting a wall, this is where that changes.
You’re not learning from an influencer. You’re learning from someone who has built brands, made mistakes, solved problems, and done the work.

Closing
This is about sharing knowledge the way I learned it—through real questions and real answers. It’s part of a larger mission to help rebuild the American-made denim industry, one designer at a time.
I’ll see you there.
